A Home for Lawn Bowlers

Susan Parker of the University of Washington has set up a mailing list for lawn bowls. For those who are not familiar with mailing lists, what happens is people who are interested subscribe to the list. Then, any E-Mail sent to the list is automatically forwarded to each person on the list. This allows you to discuss various issues with a number of people in a forum situation.

Compose an E-Mail message to listproc@u.washington.edu

You do not need to type a "subject"

In the body of the text type subscribe lawnbowl and your user name. For example, I typed subscribe lawnbowl jdevons@titan.tcn.net

Mail the message Within a few hours you should receive a reply message from the University of Washington. In the text of this message it should say your request was successfully processed. It will also contain information on how to send messages to the newsgroup and how, if you find you don't like the mailing list, to unsubscribe.
